How to Freeze an Avocado.
For this point in our lives, if I’m looking for the perfect mudroom/drop zone/entryway all I need to remember is to keep it simple and keep it real.. And to not be ridiculous.I just love a good low-cost/no-cost DIY pillow solution to add a little cheer to my day. There are so many great ideas out there to turn unexpected things into pillows and I admit I may be developing a bit of an addiction to these easy crafty tricks.

Place mat pillows?I was all over that about two years ago.. Walmart flour sack pillows. There are so many worse things to be addicted to though!

OK, it depends on who you ask….. What I have here for you today is a new one that I haven’t seen anywhere yet, and I think it just may be my favorite so far….These chair cushion things have been catching my eye all Summer at Superstore.

The original price was $2.50.
Every time I would go over to see what that great fabric was, I would always find these sad little patio chair cushions with a little 3/4 inch piece of foam inside and then just walk away, thinking “Well, I have just no use for that!”.Then I put the skirt together in two separate pieces, just to make it easier to work with..
I did all the hemming with hot glue (of course), but I used a needle and thread for the basting stitch to make the ruffles..I used my staple gun to attach the fabric at the corners first and then added a few more in the middles for good luck..
The staples and stitches got covered up with a little grosgrain ribbon glued all around.. Then I had a stool! One more piece of the kitchen puzzle falls into place!.
