You think that’s it’s just a matter of deciding “Hmm, I think I’ll write a book” and then you just start typing away, but when you’re working with a publisher, there’s an amazing amount of back-and-forthing that happens before you ever put pen to paper, or characters to screen, as the case may be.
Treat the outer edge of the circle as the front of the shelf, that way as you turn the lazy-susan around, you can see everything that you’ve got, with no mystery items getting stuck somewhere in no-man’s-land in the middle.. You can then stick any duplicate items in a row behind that same item, heading back towards the center of the circle.Sometimes two rows of the same item will need to become one in a triangular shape to accommodate the circularness, but you’ll figure it out.
You’re a smart cookie.You can have one or two other items that you keep only in the middle of the circle, but make sure it’s stuff that you always like to have on hand so you know exactly what it is.Also keeping the number of things there low means you can still see everything.. My mom and I refinished it a couple of years ago, but kept the knobs in the original white chippy paint, just to compare and also I think it looks neat..So I waited until the day I could put all these elements together thinking it would all come out looking great and really anchor that corner of the room..
I added some daffodils from the yard, because I always think they make everything look even better.. Then I stood back and looked at it.. And tried to love it..
