We went camping this weekend and I did that again.. We left on Thursday morning and by Wednesday, mid-day-ish I had already completely lost my composure and was freaking out (to myself and the cat) about how out of control of the packing situation I was.

Rug Pad USA contacted me recently, just in the knick of time and asked if I wanted to partner with them on a blog post (and a giveaway for my readers!)and I had the perfect opportunity for just such a post!

My knees are forever grateful! They have different rug pads for different rug types, different flooring types, and different softness needs, but the one I decided to use in here is called. It’s 3/8″ thick, which is pretty thick in the world of rug pads, and it’s good for humid climates, which we definitely have!

It’s also made from 100% recycled materials, which I thought was pretty neat..Some rug pads have either one or both sides that are grippy material, but this one is soft felted material on both sides.

It’s good for my room since the sofa holds the rug in place anyway..

They have an option where you can have your rug pad cut to be 1″ shorter than your rug on all sides and I really recommend that you take advantage of that if you get the chance.Seriously, I’m pretty much the master of half-done, if I do say so myself.. Chris isn’t too bad either, except this time, he screwed up.

I had a post all lined up about how we’ve had these half-built stairs leading up to our back deck for the past two months. He must have been reading over my shoulder cause the guy went and finished the darn steps.

Right out from underneath me and my beloved blog.. Now it’s still a big ol’ mess back there, but it’s definitely not as ridiculous as having just the two bottom steps and then nothing.. Our house had this big long giant humongous ramp across the entire back of the house. He’s been working at tearing that down to make room for a big ground level patio.
